Why do I buy stuff?

Thumbtacks meet the leather couch.

Yikes! This is why Nate says we're not buying any nice furniture...not until the kids are old enough to not ruin it. Sigh. We're destined to old, used furniture for a long time, huh?

That bites! I am with shayla, I don't like our old stuff but I don't care what happens to it either.

Oh. My. Goodness! Suddenly pen doesn't seem so bad. I'm sorry.

And this is why I say you're in for a fun ride. It doesn't seem especially funny, though, until later. But keep your humor and you will laugh... one day.

Actually, this piece of art looks pretty brilliant. It reminds me of a scene from the movie, A Room With A View. In it, you see George, a philosophical young man, purposefully striding into a room to turn a portrait over to it's proper side. He had drawn a question mark on the back of it while he was staying in that pensione. I wonder, what were your kids thinking when they created their masterpiece? Perhaps it wasn't such simple reasoning, after all!

lol... precisely my point. That is why I still have my ugly 3 times handed down furniture. What is the point??

One advantage of leather is that you can spin and wipe... You might be able to fill up those holes with something... glue, Paint? Mom

Ah! What a bummer!? That couch definitely had a good run. And it's still way nicer than ours, but that's not a great comparison.

This is just a prelude of "better" things to come. :)
